An impressive citrine ring from the Retro era?(c.1940)! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, the ring features a sunburst motif represented by beautiful madeira citrine stones.?A large round citrine is bezel set at the center of the dome-like design. Wrapping around the exterior of the setting are six triangular citrines, which represent the "rays" of the sun. All of the stones are precisely faceted and exhibit a magnificent natural color, which is rich and warm in color and deep in hue. Textured gold detail alternates with each sunburst ray, and a filigree design is visible underneath the gallery. Completing the design is a smooth, slightly beveled gold band, which is stamped "585" and hallmarked with a small maker's mark inside the shank. This fabulous ring?has wonderful artistic flair and would make a perfect statement piece!
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size of 7.25, but could be resized. The round centerpiece?has a 3/4" diameter and rests 1/2" above the finger when worn.?
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting?or to the citrine stones, all of which are secure and intact.
